In 1909, the people of Biggar came together to display the “Loan Exhibition of Biggar Antiquities”. Since then, the community has taken pride in sharing knowledge and preserving memory through objects. More than 100 years later, we share precious objects from the Museum’s vast collection, that are rarely on display.

As part of Doors Open Month, we are showcasing some star objects as part of our FREE temporary exhibition, Hidden Gems. Pop in during museum opening hours.

We will be adding some more fragile objects for short periods throughout the month. So don’t miss the rare opportunity to see these pieces.
