By Car: Biggar is on the A702, 30 miles southwest of Edinburgh and 10 miles southeast of Lanark. From the south, Biggar is 15 minutes from the M74 junction 13 at Abington. Postcode for Sat Nav: ML12 6DH.

By Bus: There is a bus service between Edinburgh and Biggar, no.101/102. There is a bus service between Lanark and Biggar, no 191.

By Train: The nearest train station is Lanark which connects to Glasgow Central.

Groups, of any age, are welcomed and can make an appointment to visit out-with the usual opening hours. We can assist those bringing children’s groups (Scouts, Out-of-School, Care Groups), youth groups, community groups and older adults such as those from care homes. We are happy to tailor group experiences to match your needs (e.g. museum sleepover, guided tour, reminiscence therapy).
