The Friends of Biggar Museums is a charitable organisation founded in 1991. It operates independently of Biggar Museum Trust and runs its own affairs through an elected committee. Friends' membership fees go directly to the Trust and the friends organise a range of fund raising activities in support of the museums. Friends may support the museum by cataloguing collections, meeting staff needs and conservation work, among many other activities. Membership entitles you to the visit the museums free of charge. Annual membership fees are £8 per person and £20 for families. The friends also produce a regular newsletter 'The Fountain'.
